Mount Ololokwe Excursion

PAYABLE EXTRA: Standing proud on Saruni Samburu’s doorstep, Mount Ololokwe is the Samburu tribe’s sacred mountain. It is a pillar of cultural significance to the Samburu and an exciting trekking venture to many others. Setting off at dawn, you will be driven to the foot of Ololokwe (30 minutes from the lodge). Whatever your pace, our guides will be at your side throughout during this day’s excursion to the summit (with picturesque pit stops for breakfast and lunch) teaching you along the way about the mountain, its cultural significance and all of its wonders. Note, this trek is bookable in advance and payable extra. Climb and descent takes approx. 6 hours in total. Excursion cost (for non-Residents) is $150 per person, plus a daily conservation fees of US$50 – a total of US$200 per person. Please enquire about pricing for Residents.
